MOUSE-LCD Simulation Software
MOUSE-LCD (Modeling Universal System of Electrooptics of LCDs) is multi-purpose software developed to model and optimize electro-optical characteristics of liquid crystal displays (LCDs). MOUSE-LCD calculates static optical, electro-optical and ergonomic characteristics of twisted nematic (TN) and supertwisted nematic (STN) LCDs, single- and double-polarizer active matrix reflective LCDs (AM RLCDs), LCDs with "guest-host" effect in liquid crystal mixtures with dichroic dyes, RLCDs with polarizing beam splitter, multilayer LCDs, LCDs with multidomain aligning in LC-cell etc. Modeled LCD may include uniaxial and biaxial phase compensators and antireflective (AR)-layers. Optical action of conductive and alignment layers can be taken into account in LCD modeling.
